From its inception more than fifty years ago, LP&S's work has been of the highest caliber precisely because it hires and promotes attorneys and staff based on their outstanding personal qualities. Although we have always been a small firm, we have successfully maintained a diverse workforce and do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, pregnancy, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or cultural background.
Our numbers support these statements. We are proud of the fact that of our seven partners, one is Asian American and one is Latino. A female African-American partner left to work in-house for a major entertainment conglomerate, now a client. Of the three lawyers who serve as Of Counsel, two are women. Of our four associates, three are women. Translated into percentages, approximately 28% of the firm’s partners are racial minorities. Of all of the firms' lawyers, 14 % are racial minorities and 36% are women.
LP&S maintains a family friendly workplace with family leave, flex time, and health insurance benefits for same sex domestic partners. The type of positive work environment provided at LP&S is perhaps best demonstrated by the fact that there is very little turnover in the firm's employment. Of the non-attorney staff, approximately 70% have been with the firm for at least 10 years.
